DxO image correction

DxO – Simply better images. This is software that corrects for optical defects in lenses of cameras. Pretty amazing what you can do post a shot.

Reminds me of Tom Clancy’s Hunt for Red October, back in 1984 (is that really 20 years ago!), he wrote about a secret technique where spies would take a photo and then figure out the lense defects and thus correct the images. Now, you can just buy it online. Cool.

Also reminds me that it looks like I have to give up on Nikon and go Canon. They are simply way ahead in low cost digital SLR. I’m drooling over the full frame Canon digitals.
