China Mobile WAP, MMS, SMTP/POP and GPRS Settings

OK, here are the detailed configuration you’ll need for a phone you want to make work with a China Mobile SIM thanks to “kuldaen”:http://www.shanghaiexpat.com/index.php?name=MDForum&file=viewtopic&p=449343

For WAP, the official site is on “Monternet.com”:http://www.monternet.com/moneditor/cs/wap/wapguide/

WAP home: http://wap.monternet.com
Gateway IP: 10.0.0.172
Port: 9201
GPRS APN: cmwap
Username and Password don’t matter

BTW with Sony Ericsson phones, they have a “site”:http://www.sonyericsson.com/spg.jsp?cc=cn&lc=zh&ver=4000&template=ps3& zone=ps which has all the settings and will sms you the configuration for you.

And here are setting for Cingular for WAP over GPRS

Hi.
I’ve got a M600i just newly set up. I’ve managed to set it up for WAP and MMS no problem (i can browse the internet although foreign sites are very slow if they work at all) but having configured my POP email, i get a “problem with your server settings” error message. My email is with Yahoo! small business and as far as i can make out is correctly configured. Am i missing something?

Also, i installed an IM application for msn, ICQ etc but it tells me it can’t find an internet connection to hook up…

Please help if you can!
