Monopoly Rules
Here are the official monopoly rules. We argued about the jail rule (you roll three times and end of the three you have to pay the $50 fine).
Here are the commonly missed rules:
- There are only 32 house and 12 hotels, so you can buy them all up and others can't improve them. You can sell them back for half their cost
- If you don't want to buy a property, it goes up for auction and gets sold to the highest bidder, so if you are the richest person, you can have an auction and then buy it for less potentially
- The cards are never reshuffled, so memorize their order and it gives you adn advantage
- If a player goes bankrupt, all the properties go up for auction to be bought by other players
- When you have income tax, you have to pay before you count up everything
- When you buy a mortaged property, you have to pay the 10% due the bank immediately
