Mac Excel Shortcuts

Here is the official list from Microsoft

The strange things are they are different. For instance F4 is paste whereas in Windows Excel is it change relative to absolute. And F2 is edit cell whereas it is cut text. And again, there is this strangeness that you use the Option key where you use the Ctrl key in windows even though there is a Ctrl key on new Mac keyboards.

Finding Participants

One of the strange things about Bonzi is that the so called Quick Clicks are not really Quick Clicks, they are totally separate commands, so there is a tool bar and then there are more commands there. The important ones are:

# Find Participant. This is actually strangely named. Normally participants are just the kids who play, but for Quick Clicks, you can find history of coaches as an example and of players.
# Assign Coaches. Don’t be fooled, in this world, assign is used to unassign people.
# Assign Participants. Don’t be fooled by this, this is how you take people off of teams.

DD-WRT

Still have two old Linksys access points. Both a WRT-54G and it is a shame to throw them away even though the Apple Airport Extreme Base Station is easier to manage. I have loaded “DD-WRT”:http://www.dd-wrt.com which I’d recommend to anyone with the time. Way more powerful and easier to understand firmware. Strange things about it are:

* The default IP address is 192.168.1.1 so it won’t work at all on Apple which defaults to 10.0.1.1
* If you have to do a hard reset, do the 30/30/30 rule. Hold the reset button for 30 seconds, unplug while still holding reset and then plug it back in and hold reset for 30. Most won’t need anything like this but this completely resets the box if you’ve bricked it
* The default user name is root and the password is admin. You might want to change that first thing 🙂
