Canon lense quality

September 28th, 2008 · No Comments · Geek

SLR Gear has a good analytic review set for lenses. Canon is a focus here, but they have Nikon too of course. Unlike many reviews, this one is quite quantitative with good recommendations for what aperture and focal length to use for maximum sharpness:

Man I sure hope that this camera has great quality, because the DPReview and digitalcamerinfo.com preview has me drooling as well as Ken Rockwell

No Compact Camera for a prosumer? GX200, DP1, G9, SD950 compared

June 30th, 2008 · No Comments · Geek

Well, been looking for a high end compact camera. When I was on film, used a Yashica which was compact, but had a great fixed focus lense and excellent quality. There really isn’t a good answer yet for digital. What do you need for a prosumer that is different from a point-and-shoot. Well, the ideal [...]
