MDworker bogging Mac

Like Windows, the Mac has lots of processes running. My current nemesis is something called mdworker which stands for metadata worker. That means nothing to me. Hitslink.com has a cool site. Shows installed base market share for computer hitting sites on the internet. Kind of interesting, although not clear how scientific. Certainly better than counting all those computers that are door stops these days for operating systems#
