Using CalDav to bidirectional sync Google Calendar and iCal

Seems to work great for one calendar that is read/write on Google Calendar and also to have lots of read-only calendars (iCal calls these subscriptions) while read/write calendars are called accounts. Google Calendar CalDAV let’s you replace Entourage with Mac Mail, iCal and AddressBook

Another piece of the puzzle. We are still using an Exchange backend but it sure would be great to have an alternative that hooks into an iPhone 3G and the Mac applications (Mail, iCal, Address Book) without dreaded sync.
