Batteries
How about Batteries. We have lots of AA, AAA and even D rechargeables, but not 9V.
Duracell Procell sure gets a high rating. $18 for 12 at Amazon
Super Glue
And then there is super glue for those of us who hate to throw things away, always worth a try and a quick spin around Amazon gives some great super glue (that is cyanoacrylate) glues:

  • Hot Stuff is the no name brand and is more like syrup so is gap filling

HowStuffWorks “What makes super glue so super?”. The main ingredient in Super glue is cyanoacrylate (C5H5NO2, for you chemistry buffs). Cyanoacrylate is an acrylic resin that cures (forms its strongest bond) almost instantly. The only trigger it requires is the hydroxyl ions in water, which is convenient since virtually any object you might wish to glue will have at least trace amounts of water on its surface. Air also contains water in the form of humidity.
White glues, such as Elmer’s, bond by solvent evaporation. The solvent in Elmer’s all-purpose school glue is water. When the water evaporates, the polyvinylacetate latex that has spread into a material’s crevices forms a flexible bond. Super glue, on the other hand, undergoes a process called anionic polymerization. The chemical process of polymerization produces a certain amount of heat. If a large enough amount of super glue makes contact with your skin, it can actually cause burns.
Magnets

Neodymium magnet – Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. A neodymium magnet (also known as NdFeB, NIB or Neo magnet), the most widely used[1] type of rare-earth magnet, is a permanent magnet made from an alloy of neodymium, iron and boron to form the Nd2Fe14B tetragonal crystalline structure.[2] Developed in 1982 by General Motors and Sumitomo Special Metals, neodymium magnets are the strongest type of permanent magnet made.[2][3] They have replaced other types of magnet in the many applications in modern products that require strong permanent magnets, such as motors in cordless tools, hard disk drives and magnetic fasteners.
Pretty cool stuff, so perfect for hanging (but be careful, they are real choking hazards). Another Amazon spin shows some good ones.
