- Also as another aside, if you just want a cheap data plan, then you can enable your old iPhone 4 with a prepaid account according to osxdaily.com by calling AT&T and then giving them your old iPhone micro-SIM number. To get it to work with data, you have to jailbreak it and go to http://unlockit.co.nz and choose the APN for AT&T.
- An iPhone 3G and 3GS are even simpler, just stick the SIM from the prepaid into the phone and you are off and ot the races. Apparently, these phones don’t require a jailbreak to use http://unlockit.co.nz
