If you are doing a podcast or a YouTube channel, you oftentimes want to take a short clip (which is a free use for editorial purposes), but what’s the easiest way to get a short clip. Here are some instructions
1. Do you have the movie already? If not, then you need to find a version that you can copy onto your computer. There are quite a few tools that do this, like video downloader, for instance https://www.pcmag.com/news/331905/how-to-download-youtube-videos has a good list, but 4K Video Downloader should be what you need, it’s free https://www.4kdownload.com/products/product-videodownloader
2. Now that you have your handy video, start up Quicktime Player, it is included in your Mac and then choose Edit and then go to Trim, you will get at the bottom the entire video with yellow borders, drag the left to where you want to start and the right to where you want to end and then click on Trim, this will create a copy of the video that you can save. https://www.guidingtech.com/20685/quicktime-mac-trim-video-clips-easy/
3.At the end you will have your clips and then you can copy them to your website. I’m not sure where you are uploading to, but it’s basically take those clips and stuff them up there.
