BNB-Hawaii.com. We had a great time in Hawaii. Connie has a way of picking particularly wonderful properties. If you have kids or want to get away from the Maui/Waikiki tourist scene, the Kailua area is just great. Its about 20-30 minutes from Honolulu, but feels a world away. It is on one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen (3 miles of crescent in all) yet its got a Safeway right near by.
For about the cost of 2-3 hotel rooms, you can end up with literally a palace on the water with a pool. Here are some of the places we’ve looked at and stayed in.
* “Moana Lani”:http://bnb-hawaii.com/moana_lani.html. Wow, what an amazing place. There are seven bedrooms each with their own bath. The place is brand new and it shows. There is a truly massive great room and the most incredible floor-to-ceiling view. Its on Lanikai, an exclusive suburb. They say Michelle Pfeiffer, Bruce Willis and Cameron Diaz were just here. Too bad we missed them all 🙂 Perfect for small kids since the Lanikai waves are so small.
* “Kailua Bay Estate”:http://bnb-hawaii.com/kailua_bay_estate.html. Where we want to stay next time. This is not as big, but it has a pool. Its in Kailua proper so the waves are a little bit bigger for body surfing, but not dangerous. Board and Kite Sailing right out your front door too! This one has been in Sunset Magazine for its design.

I will try to make a comment about Hawaii but I continue to think about how people finance their vacation on their credit cards. Everyone must admit that that can result in being overextended and late payments may abound. If you find that you would like to clean up your credit then you can go here…
